2016 Faith Challenge

There are more than 200 places of worship in Huntington, Barboursville, Ceredo, Kenova and Lawrence County, Ohio.

That’s more than 200 groups of people who are called to live our their faith in a way that helps those in their communities who are experience suffering, which includes homelessness.

Some already live out that faith through soup kitchens, food pantries or clothing drives. And some already support or donate to Harmony House. But the need is greater than any one of us can do alone.

That’s why the Cabell-Huntington Coalition for the Homeless  is issuing the Faith Challenge.

It’s not a contest to see who can give the most, and it’s not about giving to be recognized. It’s about a congregation and its leadership accepting the challenge to give $100 a year toward helping individuals experiencing homelessness in our community. For some, that might be an easy gift to make and may decide to give more, while for others, it might take a little faith.

But if everyone does a little, it will have a big impact on our front-line programs. Our goal is to reach 100 churches by the end of the year.

Will you join us and take the Faith Challenge? Checks can be mailed to Harmony House, 627 4th Avenue, Huntington, WV 25701. Please include "Faith Challenge in the memo line. Gifts also can be made online by clicking the "Donate Now" button on our webpage. Simply click on "Other" under the program tab and type "Faith Challenge."
